Rescue Dose, Ltd.

About Us

One of the major challenges facing the health system today is preventing medication errors. These errors have serious health implications for patients including additional treatment, permanent disabilities and even death. Hospitals are also forced to deal with extended stays, increased costs, and class-action lawsuits.
One new technology that prevents medication errors is automated fillers for syringes that dispense the exact dose of medication prescribed to the patient. These machines are large, immobile systems located in the hospital pharmacy and are capable of automatically filling syringes for all the patients in the hospital.
Rescue Dose's innovative system, which automates intravenous (IV) syringe preparation, is a mobile unit that calculates the correct dosage of liquid medications required and automatically fills the syringe. The system minimizes the risk of human error, and will play an integral role in increasing safety, efficiency and accuracy in healthcare systems.
Combining automation in the preparation of dosages and diluting medications for injection or providing them intravenously will ease the work of the medical team, save time and reduce errors, particularly in situations of working under stress, such as resuscitation.

Market

Rescue Dose systems are expected to replace the current "crash" cart in all trauma units,  wards and outpatient clinics.
Rescue Dose's initial entry strategy is via the trauma units in the hospitals, where there will be a need for at least 2 units and at least one unit in each hospital department.
Future applications of the system will be designed for use in oncology, cardiology and anesthesia departments where there is high syringe consumption.
