About Us
The agro-industrial wastewater treatment technologies are based on biological (mainly anaerobic) and physico-chemical treatment systems, in which some of the effluents are disposed without any treatment (olive mill wastewater). Despite that the anaerobic treatment system is considered the most appropriate treatment system to treat strong wastewater, it is a very slow process, is unstable, and requires large retention time and a large start-up period. Combining immobilization of enriched seeding bacteria with different additives, AgRobics provides “modified” biomass to enhance the anaerobic process, shortening the start-up period and increasing the stability of the biomass and the entire biological process for more efficient biogas production.
Market
The agro-industrial is growing very significantly with the population growth all over the world. The processing and manufacturing of the agriculture products and crops (vegetables, fruits, meat, diary, food processing) leading to increasingly large quantities of very strong refractory wastewater, which is considered a serious environmental problem due to high organic load and the high content of microbial growth-inhibiting compounds.
